Kochav Darom is a new community of young families living in Beer Sheva. 
​Beer Sheva is a wonderful place to raise a family, and Olim are beginning to realize it. As more young families choose the capital of the Negev as their home, there is a great need to create a support network to welcome them and meet their needs as young, religious, English speaking families. There are already well established communities for Reform, Pluralistic, and Chabad families in Be’er Sheva. Kochav Darom aims to better meet the needs for Dati families (especially those with young children) and strengthen our sense of community.

Our Vision

• ​ ​We envision a warm, welcoming and supportive community of young religious families who together create engaging events and social projects for the wider English speaking community of Beer Sheva. Through Kochav Darom, all residents will know that they have potential partners for any activity they would like to do-whether a Shabbat potluck, a trip to the park on a sunny day, Chanuka party for children or large scale volunteering initiatives - they have a platform for making it happen!​
